Vega 4 (EN-C)

Released in 2013

Revolution is here! Vega 4 is the real leader in paragliding and sets the EN-C performance benchmark to completely new level. It provides an optimal balance between performance and safety which makes VEGA 4 an ideal glider for demanding XC pilots.

Fifth cell suspension technology 5NHR

Axis Vega 4 directly benefits from our highly successful competition Mercury Sport EN D glider development, while adopting the latest technologies, it creates an excellence in design of paragliding wings. We are proud to say that we are the first manufacturer in the whole world, using the fifth cell suspension technology in EN-C glider series. This technology has resulted in 40% line reduction compare to its predecessor Vega 3.

Super smooth leading edge profile

Using the latest 3D modelling software, we developed a new Super smooth leading edge profile with Special string reinforcement. This improved internal pressure distribution and together, with fifth cell suspension technology creates an excellent aerodynamic body. Reinforcement of the C row upper surface brought more stability and made new Vega 4 more spin and stall resistant. Also, the new design provides faster regeneration of collapses and front stalls. Vega 4, with a new cutting edge design, is a 3 line concept glider of 5.90 aspect ratio.

All of these features together improved climbing ability and gliding ratio, so the Vega 4 cuts efficiently through the active air and easily stays in thermal cores. Its flying performance is now easily comparable to our Axis Venus 3 glider (EN-D) while keeping all safety standards of a safe (EN-C) glider.

New Vega 4 is a perfect choice for pilots, who:

  • Love ambitious XC wings, but within (EN-C) safety standards
  • Fly regularly during the season
  • Enjoy to fly top performance gliders
  • Require agile glider with precise handling and direct canopy feedback
  • Take part at PG competitions and getting experienced for top level paragliding
GREAT FEATURES OF A MODERN GLIDER
All of these features together improved climbing ability and gliding ratio, so the Vega IV cuts efficiently through the active air and easily stays in thermal cores. Its flying performance is now easily comparable to our Venus III glider (EN D) while keeping all safety standards of a safe EN C glider.
